All is set for Jamaican reggae superstar Tarrus Riley’s enormous debut show in the capital.
Tarrus, who landed in Zimbabwe three days ahead of the much awaited Saturday gig scheduled for the HICC, will be playing with a full band and has promised “energy and good music”.
Organisers of the show said they have put everything in place for the mammoth event, saying ticket uptake was stronger than they anticipated.
“We are looking forward to an overwhelming performance from Tarrus, whose band will be led by the legendary Dean Frazer. Local artists have also promised fireworks,” said a spokesperson for the organisers.
Jah Prayzah, Killer T, Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz and Garry Tight are some of the acts expected to add weight to the event, where the cheapest ticket is selling for US$30.
Speaking at a Press briefing at the Rainbow Towers Hotel Wednesday evening, Riley told the media that he was excited to be in Zimbabwe after touring a number of countries around Africa.
